The Fessenden-Bowdon  Public Schools understands the importance of activity and connection as it pertains to the health and well-being of our students. We also understand that distant education doesn’t provide for optimal learning experiences for many of our students. On May 11, 2020 Governor Burgum issued Executive Order 2020-04.2, which has given schools across the state the green light to begin opening their doors for certain programming. Knowing the importance of face-to-face learning, physical activity, and social interaction we have come up with the following guidelines for facility usage. The word “facility” refers to all property both indoor and outdoor owned by the Fessenden-Bowdon Public School District. The guidance below will go in effect June 15, 2020.

1. Screen yourself daily for any NEW SYMPTOMS THAT YOU CANNOT ATTRIBUTE TO ANOTHER HEALTH CONDITION.

· Fever of 100.4 or higher

· Cough (New or worsening and not related to allergies)

· Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

· Chills/repeated shaking with chills

· Headache

· Muscle aches (not attributed to another health condition or a specific activity such as physical exercise)

· Sore throat

· Loss of taste or smell

2. Direct exposure to someone with or suspected to have COVID-19?

The purpose of the above daily screening is not to determine if you have Covid-19 or any other medical condition. The screening seeks only to determine if you have a symptom that may indicate Covid-19. Individuals should contact their medical provider for diagnosis, medical advice and treatment.
