SCHOOL NEWS
📚 The Fessenden-Bowdon Library and Books Are Fun are excited to bring back Book Blast! Register using the attached treasure map by entering 10 family or friends’ contacts to earn prizes and prize drawings. Students who raise $135 are guaranteed 10 new books, and every elementary student will receive at least one book. Books will be delivered in early March. Families with multiple children only need to enter 10 contacts, and returning families must create a new account.
-Community Donations: Donations through our community link https://bookblast.booksarefun.com/contribute/FessendenBSD58438?parent_slug=k4o9enhl&request_type=&request_slug= go into a community pot to provide even more books for all students!
♟️Chess Tournament papers were sent home and are due back on Friday Jan. 30th!
Reminder there is NO practice this Thursday 1/29 or next Thursday 2/5!
🏐 There is a Volleyball sign-up sheet for grades 4-6 in the office. More info coming soon.

★ 21st Century will be after school Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 3:30-5:30 PM
· Please remember: if there is an early out or the last day of school for the week lands on a Tuesday-Thursday, there will not be 21st Century program that day!
★ Activity Fees and sports physicals are due for any student participating in activities for grades 7-12. Activity Fees for 2025-2026 are $95.

📢 E.S Killie Scholarship “Scores for Scholars”
What is “Scores for Scholars?” For every point the HWC Girls or Boys Basketball Varsity team scores at a home game (in Fessenden), each sponsor donates $1.00. Multiple individuals or families can sponsor the same game. We are looking for at least 10 sponsors per game!
What do these donations go towards? Each dollar raised from Scores for Scholars goes directly into the E.S. Killie Scholarship Fund. This scholarship is awarded to one deserving FBS senior each year.
If you would like to sign up to sponsor a game, please reach out to the Fessenden-Bowdon Education Association by emailing fbeapres@gmail.com. Checks can be made out to the Fessenden-Bowdon Education Association (FBEA) and mailed to FBEA, Attn: Erin Risovi at the Fessenden-Bowdon School (PO Box 67, Fessenden, ND 58438).
