Happy Birthday Madison Jones!
Did you know that today is National Dewy Decimal System Day? Melvil Dewey and the library classification system he created to efficiently maintain our libraries’ inventory of books. Dewey created his proprietary system of library resource classification while working at the Amherst College library at the age of 21. The Dewey Decimal System was first published in 1876 and is now the most widely used system around the world in over 200,000 libraries in 135 countries. Wow!

Hat Day on Friday, December 11. Pay $1 and you can wear a hat in school! Mr. Loff will be on the Buddy Bench to collect the money.
Books Are Fun has a display in the teacher’s lounge. Money and orders are due by Friday, December 11.
Wells County District Health will be offering flu shots on TODAY beginning at 8:00AM in the board room. If you would like your student to receive the flu shot, please send the filled out form with them on Thursday and hand into the office.

Fessenden-Bowdon School is collecting Box Tops and Our Family Labels.
Our Family Labels can be turned into the main office. When turning them in, we ask that you put the labels into an envelope/baggy with the number of labels on the outside of the envelope/baggy.
Box Tops for Education program is changing the way we can earn cash for our school! Over the summer, participating brands have begun to change their packaging from the traditional Box Tops clip to the new Box Tops label. Going forward, instead of clipping from packages and checking expiration dates, all Box Tops will be earned digitally by scanning your receipt. The Box Tops for Education team has worked hard to build a NEW-and-improved, user-friendly Box Tops mobile app available now at your Apple or Google Play stores.
