Today’s Lunch is Shipwreck, Fruit, Vegetable, Milk
Did you know that today is the Day of Reconciliation in South Africa? The apartheid was a racial segregation system that existed throughout South Africa as part of legislation forwarded by the National Party. In 1994, to heal and bridge the gap between the people living in South Africa, this dedicated day was introduced.
SCHOOL NEWS
Just a reminder now that we are getting into some colder and snowier weather. Please send warm outdoor clothes for students to wear at recess and on the bus, including hat, scarf, mittens/gloves, boots, and snow pants.
Hat Day on Friday, December 18! We are having another hat day on Friday. Donate a dollar and you get to wear a hat in school. The money collected will be used to purchase a VISA gift card for the Shirley Horn family. Shirley’s son, Samuel, was recently diagnosed with a neuroblastoma tumor and is currently undergoing treatment in Fargo. Shirley is a paraeducator here at the Fessenden-Bowdon School.
Lego Robotics (Grades 3-6) practice will be on Thursday this week instead of Friday.
Dress Up Days have been announced!!!!
Thursday, December 17 - Tropical Thursday (Dress like you’re going on a holiday vacation!)
Friday, December 18 - Flannel Friday (Dress in your holiday flannel or plaid! Also $1 Hat Day)
Monday, December 21 - “Ho Ho Ho” down Monday (Dress in your western wear!)
Tuesday, December 22 - Tacky Tuesday (Wear your tacky holiday sweater and apparel!)
Any Items to be included in the Daily Announcements need to be emailed to lindsay.widicker@fessenden.k12.nd.us by 3:00 PM to be included in the next day's memo.
