Today’s Lunch is Choice of Corn Dog or Pizza Quesadilla, Fruit, Vegetable, Milk, Water

Today is Dr. Seuss’s Birthday! A lesser-known fact about Dr. Seuss is that he created the word nerd. The first documented use of the word was in the 1950 book he wrote titled “If I Ran the Zoo” about a boy named Gerald McGrew who visits a zoo and ponders what it would be like if he ran it. 

SCHOOL NEWS   

  • Congratulations HWC Boys Basketball Team on their victory over Lakota last night! Final Score was 66-46. 

  • Parent-Teacher Conferences have been rescheduled for March 16 and March 18.

  • March is Reading Month! Our theme this year is the Olympics. Students received reading log sheets that they can turn in weekly. Classes will earn points throughout the month for participating in activities, and dress up days. 

  • Scholastic Book Fair . It will be open from 8:00AM-4:00PM Monday-Friday. The public is invited to come and shop. The book fair will be located in the room directly across from the library.

  • There will not be Lego Robotics practice the week of March 1 due to the Scholastic Book Fair. 

  • Soft Ball sign-up sheet is located across from Mr. Loff’s office. 

  • 5th & 6th Grade Volleyball is scheduled to begin Thursday, March 4 from 3:30-5:15pm with a parent meeting at 5:00PM. If you need a registration sheet, please contact the office. Please contact Monica Mason with any questions. 

  • The Baseball sign-up sheet is located across from Mr. Loff’s office. Baseball team-shop meeting on Thursday, February 25th from 8:10-8:30AM in the library.
