On this day in 1931, the Star Spangled Banner became the United States National Anthem. President Herbert Hoover signed a congressional act making “The Star-Spangled Banner” the official national anthem of the United States.

SCHOOL NEWS   

  • Parent-Teacher Conferences have been rescheduled for March 16 and March 18.

  • Post Prom Sign-Up is now available in the office. Stop by and pick up your parent permission slip. Remember, prom is April 10.

  • PreK/Kindergarten Registration will take place on Tuesday, March 16 and Thursday, March 18 from 8:30AM-6:30PM. Stop by the main office with a copy of your child’s birth certificate, immunization records, and proof of residency.

  • March is Reading Month! Our theme this year is the Olympics. Students received reading log sheets that they can turn in weekly. Classes will earn points throughout the month for participating in activities, and dress up days. 

  • BOGO Scholastic Book Fair. It will be open from 8:00AM-4:00PM Monday-Friday. The public is invited to come and shop. The book fair will be located in the room directly across from the library.

  • 5th & 6th Grade Volleyball is scheduled to begin Thursday, March 4 from 3:30-5:15pm with a parent meeting at 5:00PM. If you need a registration sheet, please contact the office. Please contact Monica Mason with any questions.
