Did you know that today is National Barbie Day! In 1959, an 11-inch tall bombshell made her debut at the American International Toy Fair in New York. Designed by Ruth Handler, the co-founder of Mattel Inc., Barbie was created to allow girls to imagine what their lives could be like in the future.
SCHOOL NEWS
Reminder: There is NO SCHOOL on Friday, March 12 and Monday, March 15.
Post Prom Sign-Up is now available in the office. Stop by and pick up your parent permission slip. Remember, prom is April 10. Post Prom participants must be signed up by March 11, 2021. You do not need a date to attend Post Prom, but if you are bringing a date make sure they are signed up as well. Make sure to include a T-shirt size. There is no fee for post prom.
PreK/Kindergarten Registration will take place on Tuesday, March 16 and Thursday, March 18 from 8:30AM-6:30PM. Stop by the main office with a copy of your child’s birth certificate, immunization records, and proof of residency.
Free Developmental Screening for children turning 3 through 5 years old will be offered on Tuesday, March 9 from 9:30AM-2:30PM and Wednesday, March 10 from 9:30AM-11:30AM at the Fessenden School.
March is Reading Month! Our theme this year is the Olympics. Students received reading log sheets that they can turn in weekly. Classes will earn points throughout the month for participating in activities, and dress up days.

St. Patrick’s Day Supper Nite - The 4-H Explorer Club is serving corned beef and cabbage, herb potatoes, stick carrots, and salad on March 17 beginning at 6:00PM at the Harvey Eagles Club. You can dine-in or drive thru. Eat, drink and be Irish!
Bowdon Food Fair - The Bowdon Lions Club is hosting a food fair on Sunday, March 14 from 5:00-7:00PM at the Bowdon School Gym. Some of the food options will include hamburgers, hotdogs, pie and ice cream, and more.
