Today is National Make A New Friend Day! “There are no strangers in the world, just friends you have never met.” A new friendship can open you to new experiences. Friends can help us through challenging times. They provide us with the comfort of a safe emotional space where we can be ourselves. Good friends are our biggest treasure. Make a special effort on February 11 to meet (or at least talk to) someone new. Your life could change forever.
SCHOOL NEWS
Next week is FCCLA week! Here are the themes for the days:
Monday - Valentine’s Day - Wear red and pink. Valentines that were ordered will be delivered from 12:00-12:52PM.
Tuesday - Service Counts - Bring in your new/gently used sneakers to donate to Samaritan’s Feet.
Wednesday - Educator Appreciation - Teachers will receive a treat from FCCLA. We encourage everyone to show your appreciation to an educator!
Thursday - Career Day - Dress up for your future career! Anyone who dresses up will receive a treat.
Friday - FCCLA Appreciation - We will be serving orange and root beer floats for the Jr/Sr high during 6th period.
Students in grades 1-6 are invited to sing the national anthem at our last home game in Fessenden on February 15. The boys will be playing Carrington with the JH game starting at 4:30PM.
Post Prom - There is a sign-up sheet in the office for post prom. The deadline is March 5, 2022 for signing up so that you can order a shirt. You can still sign up after March 5, but shirts won’t be guaranteed.
Do you want to learn some basketball skills? Junior Hoops will take place in the New Gym on the following Saturdays: January 15, 22, 29 and February 5 and 12. It is open to kids in Grades K-6. Grades K-1 will be at 9:00AM and Grades 2-4 will be at 10:00AM. (Grades 5-6 are welcome to come scrimmage at 10:00AM also) Please contact Jayme Loff at 701-341-1144 with any questions.
East Central Center for Exceptional Children will be offering preschool screening on Wednesday, February 23 from 9:30AM-2:00PM at the Fessenden-Bowdon School.

Wells County Community Cares is doing a giveaway on their facebook page (Wells County Community Cares) for 9 Happy Kits to promote self care. Check out their page for info on how to enter (closes 2/13).
Megan Ekren from Advance in Recovery comes to Harvey or Fessenden weekly and has immediate openings for individual and family counseling for all ages.
