
Congratulation to the HWC SB team! They played Hazen and Garrison yesterday. Ended the day 2-0 and out scoring opponents 44-0! Whole lineup hit, pitching and defense were lights out. They will be playing today in Fessenden against Washburn at 4:30PM.


Reminder: There will be an early out on TODAY for the teachers in service. Students will be dismissed at 1:30PM.


Today our senior spotlight is Joshua Crowder. He is the son of Larry and Pauline Crowder.
Activities: Robotics, FFA, Agronomy
Favorite Class: POD, because we normally don't get any homework, the class is usually interesting, and the projects are often fun and relevant to the class.
Favorite Teacher: Mr. Locken, because he's fun to talk to and puts a lot of extra effort into his classes.
Favorite School Memory: Riding scooters around DC late at night on the Close Up Trip.
Future Plans: I plan to go to UND for Civil Engineering.

- Concessions - all of the food is purchased. We are looking for people to grill burgers and sell/serve the concessions. The money will go to pay for track upkeep.

Hat Day! Students and staff may pay $1 on Friday, April 29 to wear a hat.


CANCELED: The HWC SB game @ Casselton tomorrow has been canceled.

Today the last group of students got to go to the Main St. Diner and build their burgers. During March, students in grades PK-6 set reading goals and when they met their goals they earned a piece of a burger. Thank you so much to Main St. Diner for serving our readers some great burgers!



Today we shine the senior spotlight on Haleigh Lematta. She is the daughter of Heather and Justin Lematta.
Activities: Softball, Wrestling, Student Council
Favorite Class: Chemistry, because it allows me to learn and look at everyday life through a different lens.
Favorite Teacher: Mr. Locken, because he truly cares about his students no matter the circumstance.
Favorite School Memory: Playing intense UNO with Tyjah, Seth, Mr. Locken, and Mrs. Wiesz.
Future Plans: I plan to attend Concordia College and major in dietetics and exercise science. I've also committed to playing softball while attending.

The Lloyd Memorial Track Meet and HWC SB Game that were scheduled for tomorrow have been cancelled. No reschedule date has been set yet.


Today's senior spotlight is Garin Opdahl. He is the son of Carrie and Aaron Opdahl.
Activities: FFA, 4-H, Football, Track, Fire Department
Favorite Class: My favorite classes would have to be my ag classes. I get to use my imagination and create projects that I thought of and like.
Favorite Teacher: My favorite teacher is Mr. Moe. I have taken at least one of his classes each year of high school. He has taught me many thing that will directly benefit my future in my career.
Favorite School Memory: My favorite school memory is when we went to National FFA convention in my 7th grade year and then again my freshman year when we competed in national agronomy and took 5th place.
Future Plans: I plan to attend Bismarck State College for Agronomy and I plan to be a part of their track and field team.
