Virtual Learning Day Reminder
Even though today is a virtual learning day, it is still a school day and students are expected to complete their assignments.
Grades K–4:
Students should complete the packet sent home and return it on the next school day. Attendance will be based on completed work. Please reach out to your child’s teacher if you need help.
Grades 5–12:
Students should log into Google Classroom and complete assignments for each class. Attendance is based on the work turned in. Teachers are available during their posted office hours to answer questions by email or Google Classroom/Meet.
Our teachers are working today and are ready to support students. If you have questions, please contact your child’s teacher.
Thank you for helping make our virtual day successful! Stay safe and warm! ❄️💙

📣 Weather Update & Possible Virtual Learning Tomorrow
With the forecast looking uncertain, students will be bringing home materials today just in case we need to move to virtual learning tomorrow. The final decision will be made by 6:00am, and we will notify families as soon as it is made.
Please remember that virtual learning is still considered a school day, and attendance will be based on the completion of assigned work.
We encourage all families to read the virtual learning expectations carefully. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child’s teacher.

Our HWC boys’ wrestling team had a strong two days of competition in Velva on Friday and Saturday! Check out the individual placing results.

The HWC Girls’ Basketball team had a strong showing at the CNDC Tournament this weekend, earning 5th place!
After a tough loss to Glenburn on Thursday, the girls bounced back, finishing the tournament with two wins over Dunseith and Drake-Anamoose.

What a fun and busy week we’ve had! Our students enjoyed the fresh snowfall and had a great time playing outside during recess. It’s always exciting to see them laughing, exploring, and making the most of winter weather!
In the classroom, Mr. Moe’s Ag Mech students got their hands dirty in the shop as they continued learning new skills and working on hands-on projects.
Meanwhile, our 5th and 6th graders have been hard at work in Science, creating their own Rube Goldberg machines.
We love seeing our students learn, explore, and have fun each day. Enjoy a peek at our week!
