SWAT Wrestling begins on February 23 in Harvey. It is open to students in grades K-6.




This week's senior spotlight is Mathew Sjoquist! Mathew is the son of John and Tracy Sjoquist. *Future plans: Go to college for computer science and get a job as a programmer. *Extracurriculars: Cross Country, First Tech Challenge *Favorite Class: Chemistry has the coolest labs. I always have fun mixing chemicals. *Favorite Teacher: All of my teachers are awesome. I couldn't pick a favorite. *Favorite FBS Memory: Waving at drivers to honk while we ate next to the zoo on a class field trip. Congrats Mathew! We wish you all of the best in the future!


Congrats HWC Boy's Basketball on the victory over Carrington last night! Final score was 50-38. Go Hornets!


The 2021-2022 School Calendar was approved last night at the board meeting.

TODAY HWC Girl's Basketball will play in the District #7 Tournament in New-Rockford-Sheyenne at 5:30PM. They will be taking on the NRS Rockets. There are no restrictions for attendance. Spectators will need to wear a mask until seated, and fans are to be seated in designated sections.

Reminder there is NO SCHOOL on Friday, February 12 and Monday, February 15 for President's Day.


Good News! The water is back on at the school. See you tomorrow!


The school's water has been turned off this afternoon in order to fix a water main problem. We have taken measures to finish out the day, but at this time we aren't sure when the water will be turned back on.

This week's senior spotlight is Emily Schmitz! Emily is the daughter of Scott and Melody Schmitz.
*Future plans: Attend UND to get a degree in physical therapy.
*Extracurriculars: FFA, Yearbook, Close-Up, Softball, Volleyball *Favorite Class: Anatomy, because it is interesting to see how the body functions and how diseases affect the body.
*Favorite Teacher: Mr. Locken, because he lets you rant when you are having a bad day and also makes interesting projects while still educating us.
*Favorite FBS Memory: The time when Mathew tried to break a stick outside and all we saw was his legs in the air and him laying on the ground. :) Congrats Emily! Good luck in all your future endeavors!

*Favorite Teacher: Mr. Locken, because he has some really cook projects and gets our class to debate against each other.
*Favorite FBS Memory: Going to Bismarck for Life Smarts my junior year.
