Exciting News: New Chess Club Starting at FBS!
We are thrilled to announce the launch of the FBS Chess Club, open to all students in grades 5 through 12! Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced player, this club is the perfect place to sharpen your skills, challenge your mind, and have fun. Practice will begin the week of November 17th, 2025, and will be held once a week. All experience levels are welcome to join and participate.

To dive deeper into this topic, including particle movement and energy in each state, and also transition into next week's topic which is changes of state, we decided to make some ice cream! We talked about the states that each of the ingredients are in, discussed solubility, solutions, mixtures, and also what happens during freezing and melting. The students enjoyed their ice cream (and Oreos) on the front lawn today to end an already exciting homecoming week!
Yesterday our students enjoyed a beautiful fall day by eating lunch outside on the front lawn of Fessenden-Bowdon School. Tables, chairs, and even the grass became perfect picnic spots while everyone soaked up the sunshine and fresh air.

Week in Review at Fessenden-Bowdon!
Our classrooms were buzzing with creativity and hands-on learning this week:
⚓ Phonics Battleship – Students sharpened their reading skills with a fun twist on the classic game.
🧪 Floating Experiments – Young scientists tested which objects sink or float and made exciting discoveries at the 21st Century Program.
🤖 STEM with Robots – Future engineers explored coding and problem-solving with our robotics kits.
We’re so proud of the curiosity and teamwork our students showed in every activity!
Duck Fest Close Up Fundraiser
